While deciding main course (when vegetarians are part of group), especially for sabji, you go through whole menu, discuss among yourselves and end up ordering the same Paneer sabji. If you are tired of eating the same Punjabi food consisting of Paneer dish, I'm sure this place won't disappoint you.

Shivraj Dhaba is located on Karad-Chiplun road, within 1 Km range from Bangalore highway. This place is highly recommended for vegetarians!! The signature dish of this hotel is 'AKKHA MASOOR', best combination with 'MATKA DAHI'. Other options worth trying include Kaju curry, Paneer masala, Palak paneer, Dal tadka, Jeera rice. Big crispy tandoori rotis are served. Tasty limited items are served here, that too at very reasonable price. Seating arrangement is quite comfortable. There is a separate section for family. Rush hours are between 1 & 3 pm, 8 & 10 pm usually on weekends. Not used to digital payments, so do carry cash with you!! Lots of parking space is available. Rickshaws are also available till 10 - 11 pm.

There are many unexplored locations, which we hesitate to go to due to lack of comfort.

We often go to places with variety of options nearby so that if one is closed, the other is open. Many a times,a few good spots are forbidden to visitors. This blog is about one such hidden outlet in Karad near Krishna Naka named 'Sairam Bhel'. Unlike any other food joint, it is famous for its modern touch to street food. If you are worried about the hygiene of street food, Sairam Bhel is best option for you.

It is a very small outlet not visible from main road. You can eat regular street food items like panipuri, shevpuri ,bhel, ragdapuri ; but items worth tasting include Delhi-tokri chaat, Papdi-chaat, American-shevpuri , Mumbai-shevpuri. Space is limited for about 8-10 people. Parcel facility is also available. Rush hours between 5 pm and 6:30 pm. Two wheeler parking is easy.Share rickshaws are present at Krishna-naka.

It is located opposite to Government College of Pharmacy slightly underground.Among the popular items include COLD COFFEE which includes tempting Frio, Frio with crush, Frio with ice-cream , Oreo coffee Frio, Chocolate Frio and Cad-B . Besides these, normal Cafe Latte, Cappuccino, are also famous. For maggi lovers, 'Masala maggi' is yummy.

Other tasty items include cheese chilly toast,veg cheese sandwich, veg cheese grill sandwich, veg cheese pizza, Margherita pizza, special Avico pizza, french fries. This place is a bit congested. A separate sofa space is available for celebrating birthdays. Rush hours are between 4 pm and 7 pm. Two wheeler parking is easy. Items are a bit overpriced for college students, but it can be compromised for taste, availability of seat. Share rickshaws are present right in front of the cafe.
