But at the same time, you are always worried about the hygiene, calories and what not!! An amazing food stuff was started by a few college students at Redyachi takkar khaugali, which had a great combination of tangy, sweet, spicy taste of different types of chaat, bhel, panipuri along with healthy combination of dry fruits, fresh vegetables, etc prepared in mineral water. Over a period of time, it was appreciated by many people, and soon a cafe was formed over some distance from Redyachi Takkar, to include many more items along with it enhancing the creativity.

The items are categorized under Chaat special, Puri special, Kabab special, Bhel special, Fruit shakes, Milk shakes, Cocktail, Sandwich, Burger, Pizza, Fries, Pasta. Among the most popular items include Brocolli chaat, Tandoor chaat, Tofu chaat, Shezwan papdi chaat, Cheese bhel, Mango dry fruit puri, Banaras paan chaat, Haldiram chaat, White sauce pasta, Cool blue, Coconut milkshake, etc.

Besides these the serving style is unique; beautifully presented. Best to hang out with friends. Order different items so that you can enjoy variety of menus. Every time you visit you will discover a new flavor.

It is easily visible from main road while driving. Seating arrangement of 25 - 30 people is available. Parking for two wheeler is easy. Rush hours are between 6 pm and 9 pm.

If you visit during rush hours, you may have to wait for an hour for your order!! Rickshaws are present in front of the cafe on main road; but you need to walk a kilometer for buses. Parcel facility is available. Prices are slightly high as compared to dish. But if you are a true foodie, I assure you it can be compromised because taste is simply unbeatable. Your tummy gets full!! 'Old is gold', a hotel which reminds me of this quote. Started in 1963, it is located at very convenient distance from railway station as well as Kolhapur bus stand. It may also be the reason why it is crowded most of the times. South Indian dishes are popular which includes masala dosa, paper dosa, cheese-masala dosa, mysore dosa, medu-wada, idli-sambhar served with hot sambhar and green coconut chutney, onion uttapam, pattice. There are many more specialities, which we may discuss in future blogs. It is pure veg restaurant, good for family.
