It is 100+ year old ice-cream parlor maintaining the same taste over generations. It is located near Mahalaxmi temple at Shivaji Maharaj statue, which is prime attraction for anyone visiting Kolhapur. Interior is also awesome with many funny quotes hanging on wall related to ice-cream.
Menu consists of Cocktail & fruit salads, Ice-cream-scoops, Mastani, Milk-shakes,
Milk ball ice-cream, Cone ice-cream, Sundae ice-cream, Flavors & jelly, Lassi, Float ice-cream, Faluda, Soft drink. However, signature dish here is Cocktail. Items worth trying are Imperial special cocktail, Fruit-salad with ice-cream, Fruit jelly ice-cream, Three in one with jelly, Mango-mastani, Dry-fruit mastani, Imperial Sundae, Chocolate Sundae, etc. If you are visiting in summer season, do try mango overload, fresh cream with mango, etc.

Amazing place for ice-cream, milkshakes & kasata lovers. It is also one of the oldest cold-drink houses in Kolhapur. There are many branches of Solankhi cold-drinks house. This blog gives information about one residing in Mahalaxmi temple area.
